SHALL WE IN KOREAN

There are three more complexe sentence structures to express suggestions in Korean.

“SHALL WE” WITH 을까요

Here we go with the first sentence structure to suggest something in Korean.

The equivalent of ᄅ / 을까요 in English would be “Shall we..?”

  • Verb + ᄅ 까요 is used when the verb ends with a vowel
  • Verb + 을까요 is used when the verb ends with a consonant

“WOULD YOU LIKE TO” WITH 을래요

The second sentence for suggestions in Korean can be translated as “Would you like to..?” in English.

  • Verb + ᄅ 래요 is used when the verb ends with a vowel
  • Verb + 을래요 is used when the verb ends with a consonant

  • *** The formal version of ‘my’, 제, instead of the informal version, 내, is used.
