ACCOMMODATION

You don’t just study with LTL in the classroom and stop learning. Quite the opposite in fact. We want your whole time with us to be the ultimate, immersive language learning experience.

We offer two types of accommodation in Seoul. Our popular homestay experiences or an apartment (locally known as a goshiwon)

A homestay in Seoul provides you with the most authentic and immersive experience. On the contrary, the goshiwon are more suited if you are travelling on a tighter budget.

FAQs

If I don’t want to stay in a homestay, what are my options?

Typically students who don’t stay in a homestay would select their own accommodation or stay in one of our Korean style apartments called goshiwon.

Do I get a house key?

Yes you do.

Is it a problem if I arrive home late?

As long as you show respect and don’t make loud noises then this is fine.

How do you decide on the homestay family?

We do our very best to get to know you before placing you.

We want to get an idea of what makes you tick. Your likes, your hobbies, your passions etc.

As we have a wide range of families all with different traits and hobbies, this allows us to make the perfect match.

Can I change my homestay?

You can yes, but speak to us and we’ll try and find a way to resolve it.

This is a rare situation so we’d hope it’s something you don’t experience.

How do I get to my homestay family from the airport?

We will pick you up.

You can also make your own way if you fancy a challenge to get yourself started but typically after a long flight students prefer to be accompanied to be safe.

Our airport pickup is one of a number of additional services which we provide.

Can I stay in an apartment instead if a homestay?

Yes, we offer small apartments known as Goshiwon’s.

Prices are listed above, on this page.

Can someone come and stay over in my room?

No this is forbidden.

Will I receive information about my host family before?

Yes we will send you an information pack to your email.

Can I stay in a homestay and not book a Korean course?

No unfortunately not. These are reserved for our students only.

Can I wash my clothes?

Yes no problem.

All homestays have washing machines and everything you need to freshen up your wardrobe.

If you’re lucky, your homestay family may even do your washing for you!

Can I lock my bedroom door?
